Using sport as an educational and social tool: it is with this objective that theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma has joined the UniSport Roma project which aims to spread and qualify the culture of sport. The initiative was born on the proposal of the Italian Sports Center - Provincial Committee of Rome and sees the participation of six other Roman universities: Sapienza University of Rome, LUMSA University, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Roma Tre University, University of Rome Tor Vergata, European University of Rome.
UniSport Rome is founded on the principle that sport, in addition to being a fundamental element for a correct lifestyle, constitutes an important moment of education, personal growth and social aggregation, representing a central experience in the university training path. The project envisages that, for the 2017/2018 academic year, the promotional activities of inter-university championships and tournaments will be integrated with cultural events and study seminars relating to the culture of sport in its various forms and trends.
