The Internet of Things paradigm, based on intelligent objects capable of communicating with each other and with the surrounding environment, is transforming sectors such as medicine, energy efficiency, industrial automation, transport. The seminar, organized by the Faculty of Engineering, will describe some advanced applications of the IOT paradigm in these sectors, highlighting the main technological components and business models.
The seminar will be attended by Eng. Marco Sgroi, imentrepreneur and manager in the IOT sector, partner of Sotel srl and FireMatter LLC, who was Director of the Innovation Center of Pirelli and Telecom Italia in Silicon Valley.
