La Medical University of Plovdiv is one of the leading universities in Southern Europe. It was awarded the prestigious international "Best University" award in 2013 in Oxford for its impeccable reputation, dynamic growth and achievements. The Rector himself, Prof. Stefan Kostianev, was appointed in 2013 "Manager of the Year" by the Europe Business Assembly.
