L'Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and Campus Bio-Medico University Polyclinic Foundation obtain international certification ISO 45001 for safety in the workplace. A result achieved at the end of 2023 following a stringent verification of the Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems adopted by the two entities and an internal audit with inspections of the work environments essential to verify compliance with the international standard.

The certification, issued byspecialized body Bureau Veritas, was recognized by the University for"provision of university teaching, post-graduate, scientific research and third mission activities", while for the Policlinico Foundation it was released for the "protection and promotion of the human person in the field of healthcare, training, scientific research and innovation in the biomedical and healthcare fields, both clinical and translational. Provision of social-welfare services for the elderly. Provision of treatment services oncology and radiotherapy".

The recognition of ISO 45001 came after years of refining internal procedures and at the end of a preparation process that saw a careful evaluation of the procedures adopted to adapt to the most stringent safety regulations. ISO 45001 certification is still not widespread in Italy in university institutions or healthcare institutions.
