A place thought of for some time and named after the student who died a year ago
December 7, 2015 - It was inaugurated on Friday 4 December the Rehearsal room thought within theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma for all its music-loving students. A place dedicated and therefore entitled to Filippo Baldoni, an engineering student who died last December in a road accident.
The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of his parents on Friday 4 December, a simple but strongly felt moment above all by those who had known the young singer and guitarist by passion (he had also participated in the 2013 edition of Campus' Got Talent, artistic event organized annually by the University).
Set up on the -1 floor of the Trapezium, the Rehearsal room Filippo Baldoni will be open to students to rehearse and study music. It was also created thanks to the contribution of the Baldoni family, who on the occasion of the concert A thought for you - organized in memory of Filippo last March - had expressed gratitude for the sincere and unanimous participation: “He comforted us - he wrote in a letter - feeling shared the immense pain that the absence of Filippo he created [...] and made us experience for the first time in three months something that can remind us of serenity".
The instrumentation currently present in the venue includes a battery with professional monitor and amplifiers for guitar, bass and voice. It is available to all students and music lovers who want to practice within the structure of theUCBM, also in view of the forthcoming musical events of the University.
"Our University - recalled the Rector Andrea Onetti Muda, who spoke at the ceremony together with the Director General ofUCBM Paolo Sormani and to many colleagues of Filippo - it is not only a place of study and scientific training, but also a context for sharing and deepening interests and passions. First of all the music. This room, linked to the memory of Filippo, is not a point of arrival but a starting point."
