Historical record for scientific production and funding collection

The growth of our University's research continues. The analysis of the research performance indicators based on the consolidated data relating to 2019 demonstrates a significant increase compared to the previous year. Scientific production and the collection of funding for research have reached historical records with substantial double-digit percentage increases, which highlight the quality, creativity and dynamism of our researchers.
Collaborations with important scientific and business partners in the national and international context continue to consolidate, also in support of a growing percentage of success on competitive tenders which tends to get closer and closer to the best performances at national and European level.
The results on the Third Mission were also significant, which in 2019 led to the generation of the first significant proceeds from the exploitation of patents and the establishment of the first spin-off company directly owned by the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome as founding partner, Brain Innovations Srl The preliminary analysis of the research trend in 2020, which can only be consolidated in the second half of 2021, already shows a continuation of this growth path, subject to ever greater attention from the Integrated Research Center and all University bodies, both to support the development of individual Research Units and to define an adequate strategic planning of Research and Third Mission.
