“Today there is a world that suffers the most and it is that of young people – said the Rector calabrò - This is why the university has to face a great challenge, that of responding to the expectations of the new generations. Young people are experiencing discomfort due to the reduction in the possibilities of being together, studying and growing in relationships with each other. At the same time, a great opportunity is approaching, that of the Recovery plan which will help us get out of this pandemic if we know how to invest in human capital and in the training of girls and boys".

"In this scenario - goes on calabrò - the University must be at the forefront, renewing itself and seeking the most innovative solutions in scientific research, increasingly technological, and in teaching. We must focus on a new teaching, once again in presence and in complete safety, based on the comparison between teachers and students and between the students themselves. Everything that technology has taught us so far must be used to the fullest, in a mixed teaching that knows how to take advantage of the remote experience. I believe that if the university world is able to seize this great opportunity – concludes – we will be able to find a better community after this difficult moment”.
