Mixed face-to-face and partly remote teaching
17 February 2021 - TheUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma is ready to bring students back in attendance. Finally, from 1 March 2021 the lessons of the second semester will also be able to resume in presence, alternating this modality with the remote one, in the expectation of restoring the normal functioning scheme as soon as the pandemic situation permits.
Security measures and screening
Thanks to the implementation of all safety and distancing measures useful for containing the spread of Covid-19, students will be able to attend university facilities and access all the services connected to campus life. The counseling and screening service remains active through the Covid referents and the structure of the University Hospital for any suspected case and for the necessary epidemiological investigations.
Directions for lectures and university life
- All the lessons of all the years of the course will be carried out in a mixed presence and distance mode according to a calendar scheduled over 6 days, from Monday to Saturday and with alternating student attendance 3 days out of 6; therefore each student will be able to choose whether to follow the lessons in person on alternate days with his or her class or to continue attending remotely which will in any case be guaranteed; Like this only half of the total students will be present in the University every day; the timetables will be available in the next few days on the e-learning platform;
- will be in presence the work of the thesis students with the approval of the supervisor, for the specific area of the Campus Bio-Medico Hospital where the activities covered by the thesis are carried out. It will be the Supervisor's responsibility to limit the frequency only to carrying out the activities strictly necessary for completing the thesis;
- will in-person internships in the simulation classroom;
- will in-person internships at the Policlinico, CESA and Longoni offices and at offices outside the campus;
- will all laboratory activities in presence as scheduled, furthermore these activities will be enhanced in order to encourage learning through practice;
- they will be in presence of the graduation sessions with an increase of up to 5 in the number of family members taking part (in case of quarantine remote access for teachers and undergraduates).
- La library will be open to all students upon reservation and within the limit of the places available in compliance with the rules of distancing;
- La student secretariat and all academic services will be open to all students upon reservation;
- Il The University Linguistic Center will be open to all students upon reservation for language tutoring activities;
- ANBOindustry Tutoring and Counseling will open to all students by reservation;
- The activities of the Chaplaincy will be possible only his prenotazione and in small groups;
- Il the company restaurant will be open only to students who are at the University during the lunch time slot or to carry out educational activities or because they are specifically authorized for one of the cases listed above.
Internships for the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery
All trainee students of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery have been vaccinated and can therefore resume their traineeship activity in the University Hospital. The administration of the vaccine ensures that internship activities are carried out in conditions of greater safety, however the current pandemic scenario still requires significant caution. Therefore the access to the Polyclinic will be scheduled and limited in order to offer the maximum training potential in compliance with safety standards. To this end, rotations will be scheduled in small groups in the wards and outpatient clinics both in the morning and in the afternoon under the supervision of subject tutors. The face-to-face activities will be accompanied by remote internships and in the simulation classrooms.
Scholarships and subsidies
have been fully assigned scholarships for around 100 euros, allocated with the Covid-19 tender of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and funded by the University to support eligible students. They also were postponed the expiration dates of the tuition fees to help families in the current difficult economic situation for the country.
