Over 1500 daily doses can be administered

June 3, 2021 - Inaugurated on 1 February by the Assessor for Health and Social-Health Integration of the Lazio Region Alessio D'Amato, the Vaccination Center of the University Hospital has been welcoming citizens every day since 8 February who undergo the anti-Covid vaccination according to the indications foreseen by the regional campaign with the possibility of administering over 1500 doses per day. "The Vaccination Center of the Campus Bio-Medico Polyclinic is very well organised – said the Councilor on the day of the inauguration – There is an important organization behind our vaccination system: with the necessary doses, there is a machine capable of achieving immunization in certain times, an important objective in the fight against the pandemic".
Built in two weeks at the Elderly Health Center (CESA), the vaccination center covers an area of 450 square meters, can count on 8 administration stations, pre and post vaccination waiting rooms, area with vending machines, areas dedicated to vaccine storage and emergency management. Carers can personally follow the elderly up to the entrance to the Center and then go to the free parking adjacent to the building and pick them up at the exit. Furthermore, in front of the entrance to the Centre, there are four parking spaces for the handicapped. Active 7 days a week, the Center has a daily vaccination capacity of 7 doses. All vaccine storage and preparation operations are supervised by a team made up of medical pharmacists and nurses working at the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital.
