Research Activities:

2011 - present Research activity in recent years has covered the topics of greatest interest in the field of thoracic surgery, developing numerous publications both in the field of minimally invasive surgical techniques with particular interest in uniportal VATS and in the field of lung cancer prevention and screening.

2010 - present He conceived and developed as coordinator a self-financed program for the early diagnosis of lung cancer with low-dose spiral CT called “A Breath for Life” which to date has enrolled approximately 5000 patients and is carrying out important research on the use of the electronic nose as a screening method.

1992 - 2011 His research activity has been carried out over the years in various fields of activity including gastric, biliary-pancreatic and colorectal surgery and all oncological surgery.

The scientific activity of Dr. Crucitti is documented by over 120 works published in Italian and foreign scientific journals with:

Grants:

2011 - today With the project “A Breath for Life” it has attracted funding from public and private entities for over €. 400.000,00 € which support the program by covering its expenses.

2002 - 2004 Collaborated at the Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico in Rome, in the drafting of a research program on neoplastic dissemination in colorectal surgery which received funding of approximately 220.000,00 Euro from the Ministry of Scientific Research

1999 - 2001 Collaborated in clinical research in colorectal surgery at the Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico in Rome and in this context in the development of a research program that received funding of approximately 150.000,00 euros from the Ministry of Scientific Research.
