Prof. Marco Caricato

Born in Rome on 27 June 1961. Married, he has one daughter.

Full Professor of General Surgery, he has been on the Campus since 1995. His main field of clinical research is represented by colorectal surgery and laparoscopic surgery. He directs the UOC of Colorectal Surgery of the Campus Bio-Medico Polyclinic Foundation.

Vice-Dean of the Departmental Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, he is professor of General Surgery for the Master's Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery, for the English-language Master's Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery, for numerous medical specialization schools

He directs the Colorectal Surgery Complex Operative Unit of the Campus Bio-Medico Polyclinic Foundation.

Italian representative in the Board of Directors of the European Society of Colo-Proctology

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in 1985, he is a specialist in General Surgery and Urology.

Technical officer with care tasks at the Organ Transplant Service of the Umberto I Hospital from 1989 to 1995, he was National Key Member for Italy of the Council of the European Transplant Coordinators Organization (ETCO)
