Project objectivesThis study aims to validate the "optical transduction sensory system for the characterization of samples in the liquid phase", created at the Electronics for Sensory Systems laboratory of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, for the identification of cells and/or cellular patterns indicative of high-grade urothelial neoplasia. The analysis could thus allow an earlier, simpler and faster assessment of the risk of recurrence and/or new onset of urothelial cancer, thus acquiring value in the clinical setting. The primary endpoint of the study consists in the validation of an optical detection system capable of differentiating the different inflammatory and neoplastic cell clusters in urine. Secondary endpoints consist of evaluating the applicability and sustainability of the system. |
