Full Professor of Electronics. He is currently the Chair of the Master's Degree Program in Food Science and Technology and Food Design. He is co-head of the Electronics for Sensory Systems unit, where he focuses on the development of sensors and their electronic interfaces for medical, food, and environmental applications.
A Full Professor since 2006, since November 1, 2025, she has been the Rector's Delegate for the Development of Relations with Companies. From November 1, 2022, to October 31, 2025, she was Dean of the Departmental Faculty of Sciences and Technologies for Sustainable Development and One Health. She was formerly Vice Dean of the Departmental Faculty of Engineering, where she also served as Research Coordinator and Chair of the Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development. She is Head of the IMAGE - Advanced Technologies for Innovative Materials and Organ Models Research Unit.
He is a member of REPRISE, the MUR's digital register of independent scientific experts for the scientific evaluation of Italian research.
He is the contact person for the National Commission for the Forecasting and Prevention of Major Risks of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for the sector of chemical, technological, industrial, and transport risks. He is an expert on the Interministerial Commission of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security and the Ministry for Institutional Reform and Regulatory Simplification for the reorganization and codification of current environmental regulations. He is a member of the Technical-Scientific Committee of the "One Health" Parliamentary Intergroup of the Chamber of Deputies.

In 2005 he held the position of researcher at the laboratories of CINI (Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per l'Informatica) in Naples. From September 2005 to January 2006 he held the role of researcher at the laboratories of NEC Europe in Heidelber (GERMANY). From 2006 to 2014 he held the role of university researcher at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. Since 2014, Luca Vollero is an associate professor at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma.
Gianni Bardazzi - Senior Vice President Group Risk Management, In-Country Value and Special Initiatives
Born in 1965, he graduated in Architecture in 1990 from the University of Florence and obtained a PhD in 1998 in collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. He has been a visiting professor at the Faculties of Architecture of the University of Florence and La Sapienza University of Rome. Since 2011, he has collaborated with theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, where he taught the course "Technological Innovation Strategies" in the master's program in Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development. From 1990 to 1997, he worked on numerous site management projects for various international companies. In 1997, he joined the MAIRE Group, holding roles of increasing responsibility, including corporate positions in strategy, M&A, and institutional communications, and business roles in commercial and executive areas, assuming the role of Senior Vice President in 2005. He currently serves as SVP Group Risk Management, In-Country Value, and Special Initiatives, leading projects that connect strategic vision, process efficiency, and local value creation. In this context, he continues to support the Group's strategy through the identification of new initiatives and risk management at the enterprise and project levels. His strategic approach is also enriched by a deep understanding of geopolitical dynamics, guiding decision-making processes in complex contexts. Over the years, in his role as Regions Coordinator, he has led interregional coordination activities, helping to structure MAIRE's global presence. He gained significant governance experience during the Group's IPO in 2007 as a member of the Board of Directors. He currently holds various board positions at the Group's subsidiaries.
ENEA researcher since 2004, Department of Energy Technologies and Renewable Sources, where he carries out scientific research and coordination of projects in the fields of concentrated solar power and the production of hydrogen and renewable fuels in general. The research activity has produced nine industrial invention patents and dozens of publications in journals with Impact Factor.
He has created and coordinated highly relevant research projects both at a national and European level, with the development of demonstration prototypes from laboratory to pilot and pre-commercial scale.
He is a member of international scientific committees for the development and diffusion of green hydrogen technologies within the Technology Collaboration Programs (TCPs) of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Mission Innovation, IPCEI and the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance .

Annarita Salladini is a Senior Process Engineer currently working for Processi Innovativi Srl, a process company owned by KT – Kinetics Technology SpA, Rome, Italy. She received her M.Sc. in CE cum laude in 2004 and her Ph.D. in 2009, both from the University of L'Aquila.
Leone Mazzeo is currently Assistant Professor of chemical engineering (RTD-A) at the Unit of Chemical-physics Fundamentals in Chemical Engineering – Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma (UCBM). His research interests focus on sustainable chemical processes, waste valorization, and resource recovery. His activities mainly concern the development of adsorption-based wastewater treatment using agro-waste materials, the extraction of high-value compounds such as polyphenols, tannins, and lipids from natural matrices, and the investigation of thermochemical water-splitting cycles for hydrogen production.
