Introduction

The program provides 3 editions of a training course on the topic of cybersecurity, with a learning on-doing approach that sees collaboration between students and a series of SMEs and associations that will be the "clients" of the course. The basic idea is to learn the main elements of Cybersecurity by applying it concretely thanks to the availability of a series of SMEs and other entities that will see, thanks to the commitment of the students, their posture improved.

Learning outcomes

  • Develop cybersecurity experts to meet the most complex cybersecurity challenges.
  • Provide advanced technical expertise for the protection of IT and OT (Operational Technology) systems.
  • Support SMEs and local organizations in preventing cyber attacks.
  • Create a network of cybersecurity ambassadors, capable of spreading knowledge and skills across the territory.
  • Promote inclusion through scholarships and reserved places for women and students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Recipients

The course is open to students enrolled in ITS Bachelor's, Master's, Master's or Doctoral programs, as well as to those who have completed one of these courses in the six months prior to submitting the application.

The program is divided into three main modules, designed to develop technical and managerial skills:

  • Basic digital skills: Introduction to programming, networks and cloud systems.
  • Technical aspects: Network and software security, using open-source tools to configure defense systems and detect vulnerabilities.
  • Managerial aspects: Cyber ​​risk analysis, regulations and compliance (GDPR, NIS2, AI Act), security policy management.

CYBERSHOT LAB

The practical activities will take place at the Cyber ​​Shot Lab, a joint laboratory between UCBM e Cyber ​​4.0 (the Competence Center of the Ministry for Innovation and Made in Italy), which allows students to work on test infrastructures that reproduce real scenarios.

Costs and scholarships

The cost of the course will be entirely covered thanks to the support of Google.org, through fully covered scholarships.

Additional scholarships are also available to reimburse travel expenses incurred by participants coming from outside the Lazio region.
