Training objectives

The Advanced Training Course in Product and Sales Specialist in laboratory diagnostics was born from the construction of a virtuous circle between the university world and the world of work. In fact, many companies struggle to find candidates who possess skills and competences in line with this role.

The main objective is, therefore, the training of professionals who will work both in direct contact with the user customer of in vitro diagnostic medical devices (Sales Account, Field Product Specialist, Application Specialist) and indirectly (Product Specialist, Product Manager, Line Manager) through the deepening of specific topics and "How to Do".

Final profile

The course trains professionals who are able to independently manage, on behalf of a company, the marketing of a product for laboratory diagnostics with a "Client specific" approach, supporting the buyer in the choice, in training for use and in after-sales assistance of the product itself. The trained professionals will also be able to provide the company with the feedback necessary for the improvement of the product, starting from the design through to its production.

Didactic structure and thematic areas

The course lasts five months for a total of 12 credits divided as follows:

  • 9 credits of training;
  • 1 CFU virtual tour of the project partner companies;
  • 2 credits of project work.

The course is structured in the following modules:

  • MODULE I - Business economics, regulations and civil and administrative responsibilities
  • II MODULE - Commercial economics and time management
  • III MODULE - Communication and marketing
  • IV MODULE - Organization of companies operating in the IVD, Design, formulation, production and product packaging
