In the 2019/2020 academic year it was established and activated at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, in agreement with theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, the Interuniversity Master's Degree in "Psychobiology of nutrition and eating behaviour" - "Psychobiology of nutrition and eating behaviour", under the patronage of the National Institute of Social Security and Assistance for Biologists (ENPAB) and the National Institute of Social Security and Assistance for Psychologists (ENPAP), pursuant to art. 9 of Ministerial Decree 270/2004.
Recipients and access requirements
The qualification for admission is possession of the master's degrees in Human Nutrition Sciences (LM-61), Biological Sciences (LM-6), Biotechnology (LM-9), Psychology (LM-51), Medicine and Surgery (LM-41) or equivalent degrees.
Graduates (second level degrees or degrees of the old system) in other disciplines may also be admitted, subject to evaluation by the Master's Scientific Committee, where the training curriculum or work experience are appropriate with respect to the aims of the course. The equivalence of foreign qualifications, for the sole purpose of enrollment in the Master's, will be decided by the Faculty Council on the proposal of the Master's Academic Board. The foreign qualification must be accompanied by an official translation into Italian, legalization andchiaration by the Italian diplomatic representations in the country where the qualification was awarded.
The access title must be in possession at the time of enrollment, before starting the training activities.
Enrollment in the Master's is incompatible with simultaneous enrollment in other university courses, with the exception of specialization courses.
Educational objectives
The Master aims to train professionals with specific skills in nutrition and human nutrition in their physiological and psychological aspects that are in line with the new emerging needs and with the new areas of intervention suggested by the ministerial guidelines on eating disorders. The area of human nutrition is very complex and is affected by biological, nutritional, psychic, social factors and their interactions, therefore it requires highly skilled professionals who, while maintaining specific roles and tasks, are able to interact with each other them in an integrated and coordinated way.
The interaction between nutritionists, psychologists/psychotherapists, psychiatrists and specialist doctors is of fundamental importance for establishing and maintaining the right relationship with food, in order to obtain optimal psycho-physical well-being, which is by no means taken for granted in organization and management. The Master provides a training course focused on an integrated approach between these professional figures.
It is aimed at biologists, psychologists, doctors.
Method of admission
The application for admission must be made by and no later than 9 December 2019 in online mode by connecting to link.
The maximum number of participants in the course is equal to n. 40 the minimum number is equal to 20. The selection (motivational interview) will take place on 12/12/2019.
Venue and time will be communicated on December 10 via notice on the master's website.

Enrollment must be completed by 20 December (the participation fee is €3.000 to be paid as follows: €1.646,00 upon enrolment, by 20/12/2019 (including the €16,00 fee for the brand from virtual stamp duty and the contribution of € 130,00 for the issue of the final parchment). € 1.500 by 15 June 2020) there is a 10% discount for all ENPAP and ENPAB members.
The educational activities will begin on Friday 17 January 2020 and will take place for two weekends a month (Friday and Saturday from 9.30am to 13pm; 14pm to 18,30pm) with a break for the Easter holidays and for the summer period (end of July - early September at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery (Via Montpellier, 1 00133 Rome) and at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma (Via Alvaro del Portillo, 21 Rome).
