Purpose
The Postgraduate Course in Headaches aims to enable healthcare professionals to acquire theoretical and applied knowledge for the correct use of the methodological tools necessary for daily healthcare activity in the context of the diagnosis and treatment of the main forms of primary and secondary headaches. The teaching methodology includes both frontal lessons and group work on clinical cases, which allow students to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired. Attendance at the clinics of the Headache Center of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital of Rome is also foreseen.
Recipients and output profile
The course is reserved for general practitioners for a maximum of 20 participants.
Didactic structure
The course is structured in 4 thematic modules which include integrated forms of theoretical activities, individual learning and practical activities with adequate tutorial support:
- Friday 23 October 2015 - 09:00 am - 06:00 pm - MODULE I - Primary headaches: Migraine
- Friday 27 November 2015 - 09:00 am - 06:00 pm - MODULE II - Primary headaches: Tension-type headache and cluster headache
- Friday 29 January 2016 - 09:00 am - 06:00 pm - MODULE III - Secondary headaches
- Friday 26 February 2016 - 09:00 am - 06:00 pm - IV MODULE - Headaches in urgency and in the clinic
Internship
The course includes an internship period at the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital in Rome for a total of 75 hours, corresponding to 3 credits. At the end of the course, the elaboration of a final project work is foreseen, which will be discussed during the final exam.

Method of admission
If the applications for admission exceed the number of places established, a curricular selection will be made. The application for admission to the Specialization Course must be submitted by October 19, 2015 using the online procedure available on this same page and involves entering:

Registration and payment
Having read the admission, enrollment in the course must be completed by October 22, 2015. Failure to register within this period will be considered as a withdrawal. Enrollment is considered completed by sending the enrollment form provided by the coordination to the Post-Graduate Training Service, together with a copy of the bank transfer attesting that the enrollment fee has been paid. Attendance fee
The enrollment fee for the entire Specialization Course is €250. Specify the reason for payment. In no event will the fee be refunded. Enrollment in the specialization course is incompatible with simultaneous enrollment in another course of study (degree courses, specialist degrees, university diplomas, direct schools for special purposes, specialization schools, research doctorates and masters).

Final certificate
Specialization in Headaches with the recognition of 10 CFU. The recognition of the training credit is linked to the regular attendance of the training activities (compulsory for a total number of hours of not less than 80% of the lessons and 100% of the training activities) and to the passing of the final exam.
