Recipients and access requirements

The Master is aimed at those in possession of a master's degree, a specialist degree, a degree from the old system or an equivalent qualification issued abroad and accompanied by achiaration of value, in the area of ​​health professions, psychology, law and philosophy-theology.

Educational objectives

The Master aims to provide skills to deal with dilemmatic cases of clinical bioethics and to carry out ethical consultancy activities at Ethics Services or Committees for biomedical practice. The aim is to provide theoretical-practical support tools for those involved in decision-making processes in the health sector, in the face of doubts or moral conflicts that emerge in clinical practice and in related organizational aspects.

Didactic structure

The calendar will be divided into 4 intensive weeks in person and 6 weekends online. 

The expected start date is 7th November 2022. The face-to-face lessons will take place in Rome in the two associated locations (UCSC e UCBM), in intensive weeks, from Monday (14.30 pm) to Friday (13.00 pm); on weekends online, from Thursday (14.30 pm) to Saturday (13.30 pm). 

Students are required to participate in at least 80% of the total amount of hours foreseen.

Attendance fee

The first payment of the enrollment fee must be made after the publication of the list of those admitted to the Master. 

The enrollment fee for the Master is €3.000,00 to be paid by the following deadlines and methods: 

  • first installment at the time of enrollment equal to € 1.800,00;
  • second installment by 28 February 2023 equal to € 1.200,00. 

For the personnel belonging to the affiliated offices, a reduction of € 1.000 is provided on the participation fee.

Title awarded

Those who have completed the planned training course and have passed the relative assessment tests will be awarded the title of II level University Master's Degree in Clinical Bioethics and ethical consultancy in the health sector.
