The Postgraduate Course in Quantitative Analysis of Scientific Data aims to enable healthcare professionals to acquire theoretical and applied knowledge for the correct use of the methodological tools necessary for daily healthcare activity. The teaching methodology includes both frontal lessons and group work, which allow students to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired.
About
The course is reserved for all healthcare professionals in possession of a first level degree or equivalent qualification, who work in the healthcare sector. The Course is limited in number for a maximum of 45 participants. It will not be activated for a number less than 30.
As a
The course is structured in 6 thematic modules which include integrated forms of theoretical activities, individual learning and practical activities with adequate tutorial support. At the end of the course, the elaboration of a final project work is foreseen, which will be discussed during the final exam.
Each module will be divided into 2 days a month, in compliance with the following calendar:
- Epidemiology, data collection and representation, March 27 – 28, 2015
- How to make comparisons between groups, 17 – 18 April 2015
- How to study data relationships, May 8 – 9, 2015
- Outcome research and questionnaires in medical research, 29 – 30 May 2015
- Search for scientific evidence: meta-analyses, 5 – 6 June 2015
- How to write (and read) a scientific work, 12 – 13 June 2015
Duration
The Course lasts 4 months and the starting date is 27 March 2015. Its modular and part-time formula makes it compatible and contextual with professional commitments and responsibilities.
Frequency
Each module will engage the participants on the following days and times:
- Friday 09.00 - 13.00 and 14.00 - 18.00
- Saturday 09.00 - 13.00

The Course offers the possibility of specializing in a sector with a high demand for experts and with increasingly specific skills. Registration
Method of admission
The application for admission to the Specialization Course must be submitted by 22 March 2015 using the online procedure available at the internet address www.unicampus.it and requires the insertion of:
- personal data
- resume
- dichiarareplacement certification (available on the site)
- payment of the fee of € 50,00
The course is aimed at a maximum of 45 participants. If the applications for admission exceed the number of places established, a curricular selection will be made. The ranking of those admitted will be announced on 23 March 2015 by publishing the list on this page.

There are no scholarships.
Registration and payment
Having read the admission form, enrollment in the course must be completed by 24 March 2015. Failure to enroll within this deadline will be considered as withdrawal. Enrollment is deemed completed by sending the enrollment form provided by the coordination to the Postgraduate Training Service, together with a copy of the bank transfer certifying payment of the st installment.
All payments, including the one relating to the admission application, must be made to the bank account held in the name of:

Attendance fee
The enrollment fee for the entire Specialization Course is €600,00 to be divided into 2 installments*:
- €300,00 upon enrollment (March 24, 2015)
- €300,00 by 2 May 2015
* Specify the reason for each payment.
In no case will the fees be refunded. Enrollment in the specialization course is incompatible with simultaneous enrollment in another course of study (first cycle degree, second cycle degree, university diploma, direct schools for special purposes, specialization schools, research doctorates and masters).

Internship
There are no internships.
Final certificate
At the end of the course, students who have attended at least 80% of the lessons and discussed the final project work will be awarded the Postgraduate Course in Quantitative Analysis of Scientific Data with the recognition of 12 credits. Pursuant to Circular 5 March 2002, n.448 - National program for continuing education - ECM. (GU General Series n. 110 of 13 May 2002) - healthcare personnel who attend a specialization course are exempt from the obligation of the CME for the entire period included in the training commitment.
