The Product and Sales Specialist Advanced Training Course in laboratory diagnostics was born from the construction of a virtuous circle between the university world and the world of work. In fact, many companies struggle to find candidates who possess skills and competences in line with this role.

Recipients and access requirements

Those who, on the starting date, will be in possession of the University Diploma in accordance with Law no. 341/1990, or an old system university degree, or university degree, or specialist/master's degree (pursuant to respectively DM n. 509/1999 and DM n. 270/2004) in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Laboratory Techniques Biomedical, Chemistry, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies, Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Medicine and Surgery.

Foreign citizens must be in possession of an equivalent qualification.

The candidate who, despite having obtained the eligibility for admission to the course, does not possess the qualifications listed above, may participate as an auditor.

Educational objectives

The main objective is the training of professionals who will work both in direct contact with the user customer of in vitro diagnostic medical devices (Sales Account, Field Product Specialist, Application Specialist) and indirectly (Product Specialist, Product Manager, Line Manager) through the deepening of specific topics and "How to Do".

Final profile

The course trains professionals who are able to independently manage, on behalf of a company, the marketing of a product for laboratory diagnostics with a "Client specific" approach, supporting the buyer in the choice, in training for use and in after-sales assistance of the product itself. The trained professionals will also be able to provide the company with the feedback necessary for the improvement of the product, starting from the design through to its production.

Didactic structure and thematic areas

The course lasts four months for a total of 13 credits divided as follows:

  • 8 credits of frontal training for a total of 64 hours of teaching;
  • 3 CFU of seminar activities and company visits to be carried out at the project partner companies, for a total of 75 hours;
  • 2 credits of project work.

The course is structured in the following modules:

  • Module 1 - Business economics, regulations and civil and administrative responsibilities
  • Module 2 - Commercial economics
  • Module 3 - Communication and marketing
  • Module 4 - Organization of companies operating in IVDs, product design, formulation, production and packaging

Title awarded

Participants who complete the course and are in compliance with administrative obligations will be awarded the title of Specialization Course in Product and Sales Specialist in laboratory diagnostics. The recognition of credits is linked both to regular attendance and to passing the final exam. Those who attend the course as auditors will not obtain the qualification and will be issued a certificate of attendance.

Method of admission

The application for admission to the course must be submitted by 25 January 2020 using the online procedure available at the internet address: www.unicampus.it/master and provides for the inclusion of:

  • personal data,
  • curriculum vitae studiorum and professional,
  • dichiarasubstitutive certification of the university qualification held,
  • payment of the admission fee of €50.

The selection will be made through curricular evaluation.

Registration

The list of those admitted will be published on the website: www.unicampus.it/master by 31 January 2020. Having read the admission, enrollment in the course must be completed by 5 February 2020.

The enrollment is considered completed with the sending to the Post-Graduate Training Service, by email ([email protected]), of the enrollment form provided with the enrollment form provided by the coordination, together with a copy of the bank transfer certifying the payment of the participation fee.

Enrollment in the specialization course is incompatible with simultaneous enrollment in another course of study (first cycle degree courses, specialist degree courses, university diplomas, direct schools for special purposes, specialization schools, research doctorates, masters and specialization courses).

Attendance fee

The participation fee is €600,00. The participation fee for the course for auditors is €400,00.
