Purpose
The Master in "Radioprotection", in the most modern and international meaning of the radiation protection discipline, aims to train professionals of a high technical-scientific and managerial level capable of operating on the national and international market in the assessment and protection from the risk deriving from the use of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation both in the working and living environment.

The course is aimed at training figures capable of taking the exams that release the qualification for the qualification of the following professional figures:
- Qualified Expert in First Degree Radiation Protection
- Qualified Expert in II° Degree Radiation Protection
- Third Degree Qualified Expert in Radiation Protection
The Master also provides complementary skills for the Responsible Expert in Magnetic Resonance, Company Physician, Authorized Physician, Clinical Engineer, Physicians Specialists in Occupational Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging, Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy, Prevention and Protection Service Managers and Staff.
About
The Master is mainly dedicated to those in possession of a Degree prior to DM 509/99, or Specialist (DM 509/99) or Master's degree (DM 270/04), in:
- Physics
- Chemical
- Industrial chemistry
- Engineering
The Master can also be attended, upon specific request to the Scientific Committee, by holders of a master's degree other than those listed. The course is also open, upon specific request to the Master's Scientific Committee, to personnel operating in the Safety, Prevention and Protection sector without a Master's or Specialist Degree, or single-cycle under the old system, in the aforementioned disciplines. In this case the participant will attend the lessons as an auditor and will receive a certificate of attendance as he cannot obtain the title issued by the II Level Master.
The Master is limited in number, for a maximum of 40 participants and a minimum of 26.
As a
The Master is structured in part-time mode and divided into 6 macro modules spaced out by 2 weeks of break, after which the exam relating to each single module will take place. Further in-depth seminars and internship activities will be interspersed during the courses.
Duration
The course lasts 18 months and guarantees the acquisition of 60 credits (equal to 1500 hours). Its modular and part-time formula makes it compatible and contextual with professional commitments and responsibilities.

The Master offers the possibility of specializing in a sector with a high demand for experts and with increasingly specific skills. Method of admission
The application for admission to the Master must be submitted by September 30, 2014 using the online procedure and involves entering:
- personal data
- resume
- dichiarasubstitutive certification
- payment of the admission fee of €50,00
The selection will be made on the day 6 and 7 October 2014 at the headquarters ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. The list of those admitted will be announced on October 10, 2014 by publishing the list on this page.

Registration and payment
Having read the admission, enrollment in the Master's must be done by October 20, 2014. Failure to enroll within this deadline will be considered as withdrawal. Enrollment is considered completed by sending the enrollment form provided by the coordination to the Post-Graduate Training Service, together with a copy of the bank transfer certifying payment of the st installment.

Attendance fee
The enrollment fee for the entire Master is € 4.000,00 to be divided into 2 installments:
€2.000,00 upon enrollment (October 20, 2014)
€ 2.000,00 by 30 June 2015
Specify the reason for each payment. In no event will the fees be refunded. Enrollment in a University Master's is incompatible with simultaneous enrollment in another course of study (first and second cycle degree courses, university diplomas, direct schools for special purposes, specialization schools, research doctorates and university masters).

Internship
Final certificate
At the end of the course, the II level Master's degree in "Radioprotection" will be issued. Achievement of the qualification is subject to attendance for a total of no less than 70% of the teaching activity and to passing the ongoing and final tests.
Pursuant to Circular 5 March 2002, n. 448 - National program for continuing education - ECM. (GU General Series n. 110 of 13 May 2002) - healthcare personnel who attend a master's degree are exempt from the obligation of the ECM for all the years included in the training commitment.
