On the tenth anniversary of the first Italian university master's degree on Homeland Security, the award for those who have distinguished themselves in the fields of security and intelligence is born. The Minister of the Interior received the most votes in a survey carried out among all Master's students with the approval of the scientific committee.

Rome, 12 April - The Minister of the Interior Marco Minniti was awarded with the first edition of the award “Sine Cura"by Prof. Roberto Setola, scientific director of the master's degree in Homeland SecurityUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma for the dissemination of issues in the field of security.

“Sine Cura” was born on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the "Master in Homeland Security - Systems, methods and tools for Security and Crisis Management" and rewards the figures who have best distinguished themselves in the Safety and Security sectors. “Sine Cura”, in Latin "without concern" indicated those activities that a citizen was not required to deal with because they were delegated to others, and is at the origin of the term security: those who work in these areas have the necessary skills to guarantee the smooth running of associated life, provide for risk prevention, provide timely intervention in case of emergencies.

Also for this reason the Minister of the Interior Marco Minniti, one of the leading security and intelligence experts in Italy, was the most voted in a survey carried out among all students of the Master with the approval of the scientific committee of the course which, first in the sector in an Italian university, in ten years of activity has trained and initiated over 200 figures from the most diverse backgrounds into prestigious careers. The president of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma Felice Barela, the Rector Prof. Raffaele Calabrò, Prof Marcella Trombetta, scientific coordinator of the Master as well as professionals and numerous teachers and students from all over Italy.

Il Masters in Homeland Security, organized by the Postgraduate Training service, it is divided into teaching activities, training internships and project work for a total of 60 credits (ECTS) and a total of 1500 hours. The teaching includes 4 classroom modules (Risk management; Business continuity & Crisis management; Technologies to support Homeland Security; Critical infrastructures) plus a transversal module of job orientation and soft skills. The Master can count on prestigious teachers and collaborations with national and international institutions, and boasts a consolidated collaboration with the State Police, the National Fire Brigade Corps, the Guardia di Finanza and the other Italian law enforcement agencies.
