A scholarship was awarded by an Italian company to one of our new graduates in Engineering for the development of a software

A research project for a recent university graduateUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma: it is the result of the work carried out by the Campus Bio-Medico Alumni Association with the Genoese Linear, a company specialized in the hearing aid sector and a supporting member of the Association.

To the Engineer Alessandro Borreo, selected by Professor Giulio Iannello and by the Professor Paolo Soda, a scholarship was awarded for the development of software capable of optimally configuring hearing aids based on the patient's anthropometric data. Furthermore, the research focuses on a set of reference patients whose data of the identified configurations is analysed.

"It is interesting to observe how the network of the Alumni Association grows day by day by adding new skills that the students are developing during their training and professional career – explains Professor Soda - In our case, within this network we have identified Eng. Alessandro Borreo the professional with the necessary characteristics to carry out the project. I believe that this ability to network is a strong point, among others, of the Association which, despite its young age, is active and a source of interesting ideas."

The research, upon recommendation by Professor Casale to the company, will take place directly at the Laboratory of Processing Systems and Bioinformatics of our university, directed by Professor Giulio Iannello who instructed the Professor Paolo Soda, alumnus of the Faculty of Engineering of the Campus, to coordinate the project.
