8 female students at the Microsoft initiative to encourage the female presence in the technological and scientific world

20 May 2016Science and technology for girls who want to make their way: it's Nuvola Rosa, the Microsoft Italia initiative now in its fourth edition. An exclusively female event whoseUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma sent a delegation of eight students enrolled in the degree courses in Industrial Engineering and in Food Science and Human Nutrition.

At the Federico II University of Naples, on 11 and 12 May, female students UCBM they had access to two days of training on STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), ranging from digital skills in the strict sense to topics related to the enhancement of female talents. They participated in some workshops on the technique how to code, to learn the basics of programming and to develop apps. In some sessions, space was also given to digistorytelling and  self-branding on the development of social writing, as well as seminars on creating and maintaining an online reputation. At the centre, digital communication in all its facets, without neglecting i big data Internet of Things.

A training path therefore oriented towards the future and professional growth. Among other things, the eight students also came into direct contact with companies such as Accenture, Avanade, Asus and Aviva, discovering real job opportunities and handing in their curriculum vitae. An extremely important experience for acquiring those skills useful for becoming protagonists of the innovation and development expected by the country.
