Three meetings on the topics of sustainability, circular economy and innovative technologies for health at the Confindustria appointment
26th November 2021 - Resolving the misalignment between skills required in companies and university education, strengthening collaboration with large industrial representative bodies and with individual production companies is the path traced in recent years byUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. And precisely the commitment that has always been UCBM dedication to contribute to progress, with attention to ethical and sustainability aspects, and placing the person at the centre, is the basis of initiatives such as the participation for the first time in the Confindustria appointment "Connext".
"In order to train young people in technical-scientific disciplines to respond adequately to the job market, it is necessary to understand the needs of society and the productive world and agree on the required skills - Explains Andrea Rossi, General manager UCBM - this is the meaning of joining Connext, which represents an opportunity for synergies with companies and other research institutions in order to contribute to the digital and ecological transition 4.0”.
The appointments organized by our University fit into the two drivers of Connext, the one related to the "sustainable planet" and the one related to "people/life sciences/progress". The first online event, the November 29 at 18, reports the experience of UCBM in the field of sustainability research. At the webinar, entitled Is a single vegetable garden-transformation-energy production-reuse cycle possible? experts from Unindustria, Confindustria, NextChem, Enea, Acea, Ferrero, Danone, Cereal Docks will participate.
Il 30 November, at 17, we speak instead of Skills needs for Transition 4.0, with the aim of establishing a partnership model between Universities, companies and employment agencies to optimize the demand and supply of skills, also with the help of the "work administration" method. Experts from Confindustria, Fondimpresa and Unindustria will discuss with representatives of UCBM committed to these issues and the President of Umana.
"We talk extensively about our partnership model, the innovation and sustainability program to reduce the mismatch between supply and demand - goes on Andrea Rossi - It is a training program for both recent graduates and unemployed people in need of re-skilling in the fields of data analysis and management, the Internet of Things, innovation and digital transformation. In a few weeks, at the request of companies and thanks to the mediation of employment agencies, we can respond to the call from the manufacturing world by proposing competent candidates. As part of this project, 6 executive courses and 24 short courses will start, while the second level master is in the second year. During the meeting we will also talk about the method of administering the work which makes it possible to close this virtuous circle”.
