ASAC

ASAC - study on the anatomical and clinical correlation of severe aortic stenosis with atherosclerotic disease

Project objectives

The aims of this study are:

  1. to evaluate the type of correlation existing between aortic valve stenosis and atherosclerosis from a clinical and instrumental perspective by studying the extent and type of vascular involvement

  2. to evaluate the possible presence of a different histological structure on calcified stenotic tricuspid valves between patients with or without atherosclerotic disease or with more or less widespread atherosclerosis (i.e. limited to a single vascular district vs. multi-district disease).
