DKKs and Wnt/beta-catenin signaling as possible mediators of the inflammatory and fibrotic process in Systemic Sclerosis

Project objectives

• To evaluate circulating protein levels of the DKK and Wnt/beta-catenin systems in the serum of SSc patients versus healthy controls and their correlation with disease manifestations.
• To evaluate the protein levels of the DKK and Wnt/beta-catenin systems in the dermis of SSc patients and their correlation with disease characteristics.
