“The “care dependency” for intensive care patients and the nurses who care for them”
Project objectivesThe main objective of the study was to explore the affective-symbolic elements of dependence on assistance in the experience of patients who have been admitted to intensive care and of the nurses who assist them, to increase understanding of the phenomenon of dependence on assistance to give a contribution to the satisfaction of care needs. Secondary objectives: to test the psychometric properties of the Italian version of the Care Dependency Scale in a sample of patients hospitalized in intensive care and to measure dependence in Activities of Daily Living and Dependence on care in the reference sample. |
