Genetic EPidemiology of KIDney cancer
Project objectivesThe primary goal of this research project is to understand the architecture of kidney cancer and study why some tumors tend to recur frequently. The project will also explore the effects of field cancerization on tissue samples (phylogeny). Germ material from histologically normal tissue can be used to conduct genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and functional characterization of GWAS results. |
