Project objectives |
|
Glioblastoma (GB) is an aggressive brain tumor with few treatment options. Developing new therapies requires a better understanding of the two-way communication between the tumor and the surrounding brain parenchyma. On the one hand, soluble factors released by WBCs alter the balance of neuronal transmission and disrupt neural circuits; on the other hand, recent discoveries suggest that neuronal stimuli modulate the cerebral microenvironment with effects on tumor growth. In particular, our RU deals with evaluating the role of the dopaminergic system on the development of WBC. |
