Post-translational oxidative modifications of insulin as markers for predicting progression and onset of complications in type 1 diabetes
Project objectives
The aim of the project is to research and identify, in a large cohort of patients affected by type 1 diabetes, predominantly determined by the existence of antibodies against pancreatic beta cells, new biomarkers, mainly at the level of bone tissue and adipose tissue, for the purposes of early diagnosis and an in-depth analysis of the progression and onset of complications.
