Valorization of waste from wineries through the recovery of active ingredients and development of formulations for antimicrobial, nutraceutical and food products, with a view to the circular economy
Project objectivesStudy of the potential of extracts obtained from pomace and pruning waste from wineries in Lazio as protective against damage caused by exposure to bacterial pathogens and/or exposure to ionizing radiation. The antioxidant capacity and prevention of oxidative damage induced by these toxic agents on Caco-2 intestinal cells will be evaluated. |
