What is the Master in Clinical Research, open innovation and market access in the digital age?

It is a journey into the world of drugs, starting from the initial idea, passing through its validation in preclinical and clinical trials, up to its placing on the market.

Participants will therefore acquire the fundamental knowledge to master the entire process (experimental, normative and regulatory) of a new drug for human health, essential knowledge to be protagonists in the professions of the sector.

A part of the Master is dedicated to medical devices, emerging and peculiar realities in the health offer.

Recipients and access requirements

The Master is aimed in particular at:

  • undergraduates* and recent graduates interested and motivated to embark on a path of professional growth in the pharmaceutical and biomedical sector;
  • professionals with work experience, who intend to explore the most relevant and innovative issues in the sector.

Participants must be in possession of a Bachelor's degree of the old system, or a Specialist or a Master's degree. Those who do not possess the required qualification will be able to attend the Master as auditors.

Enrollment in the Master is compatible with enrollment in another university course in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 33 of 12/04/2022 and by DM 930 of 29/07/2022.

*provided the degree title is obtained within 90 days of the start date of the Master.

Didactic structure and thematic areas

The Master is structured in 6 thematic areas:

  1. The context: ethics, competitiveness, pre-clinical path
  2. Management and conduct of a study
  3. Regulatory, legal and insurance aspects
  4. Role of technological and social health innovation
  5. Trials of medical devices: reference contexts
  6. Authorization procedures and market access

The BLENDED and PART-TIME FORMULA makes the Master compatible and contextual with professional commitments and responsibilities. The teaching structure will be divided into 70% of the lessons in presence and 30% of the lessons in live streaming.

In order to facilitate the acquisition of the contents covered during the modules of the Master, at the end of each weekend of lessons there is a special Q&A session dedicated to reviewing the topics covered with the aim of rereading them through a red thread. This approach intends to support the participants in consolidating the contents of the Master, verifying the effective acquisition of the concepts covered and assessing any need for supplementary insights.

Participation fee, concessions and scholarships

The participation fee for the Master is € 5.000,00 with the possibility of paying in installments.

Discounted fees are available for undergraduates and graduates of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, UCBM Academy Ambassador, staff of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation.

It is possible to access full-coverage scholarships. In particular, INPS provides 3 scholarships to fully cover the participation fee for civil servants enrolled in the unitary management of credit and social services.

Having read the admission, enrollment in the Master must be made by January 31 2024.

II level University Master in Clinical Research, open innovation and market access in the digital age with the award of 60 university credits (CFU).

Those enrolled as auditors will not obtain the academic qualification, but at the end of the course they will be issued with a certificate of attendance at the Master's.
