The university specialization course in hip arthroscopy, the first in Italy, provides for a particularly dynamic didactic articulation, in order to favor the acquisition of specific skills by the participants and to have a comparison with national and international experiences.

WHAT: Reference contents and objectives of the master

The university specialization course in hip arthroscopy aims to train doctors who acquire the specific skills for hip arthroscopy.

WHO: Recipients and output profile

The course is aimed at graduates who wish to acquire specific skills for hip arthroscopy.

HOW: Didactic structure

The modular structure of the course provides for attendance of two weeks a month with alternating moments of:

  • Teaching activity: 4 modules each lasting 2 days (8 credits)
  • Internship activity: Cadaver lab in Arezzo for a total duration of 1 day. (1 ECTS)
  • Internship at the Campus Bio-Medico Polyclinic and other structures of excellence (9 ECTS)
  • Round table with international expert (1 ECTS)
  • Elaboration of a project work that will be discussed during the final exam (5 credits)

Duration

The course lasts 4 months, and guarantees the acquisition of 24 credits (equal to 600 hours). Its modular and part-time formula makes it compatible and contextual with professional commitments and responsibilities.

Frequency

Each module will be divided into two weeks a month, Thursday and Friday with the following times:

  • Thursday: 09.00 – 18.00
  • Friday: 09.00 – 18.00

There are no internships.

Final certificate

At the end of the course, a University Specialization Certificate will be issued with the recognition of 24 credits. Pursuant to the Ministry of Health's Continuing Medical Education Programme, anyone taking part in a University Specialization Course is exempt from acquiring ECM training credits for the current year.
