Necessary requirement for company health management functions and management of complex structures

The Postgraduate Course in "Healthcare Management" arises in accordance with the Lazio region on the basis of the national legislation on mandatory training for the performance of duties relating to company health management functions and management of complex structures, with the aim of developing advanced skills in the participants in the organizational and management area, to implement health planning policies and interventions aimed at continuous improvement of quality, guaranteeing the objectives of the healthcare organizational system.

Furthermore, in light of the current health situation, a module of the Course UCBM will be entirely dedicated to management of health emergencies national, focusing on the theme of the rapid conversion of clinical-care models, on the organizational difficulties connected to this, on the role of leadership in emergencies, on individual and corporate responsibility.

The course will be delivered in blended mode: the first part (in the months of June and July) will be carried out electronically, to guarantee maximum safety for the participants, while in September the lessons will take place in the classroom (guaranteeing safety distances).

Recipients and access requirements

The course is reserved for the executive staff of ASL, AO, IRCCS and other entities referred to in art. 4, paragraphs 12 and 13 of Legislative Decree 502/1992, having seniority of service of at least 5 years as of 21 April 2020. Priority is given to the personnel of the structures present in the territory of the Lazio Region.

Eligible candidates are ranked according to the following priority criteria:

  • Corporate Health Directors of the Health System of the Lazio Region who do not yet possess the management training certificate in question.
  • Executives of Complex Operating Units with the role of Head of Department/Area of ​​the Health System of the Lazio Region who do not yet possess the certificate of managerial training in question.
  • Executives of Complex Operating Units with the role of Directorate of UOC of the Health System of the Lazio Region not yet in possession of the managerial training certificate in question.
  • Company Administrative Directors of the Health System of the Lazio Region.
  • Doctors, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists, biologists, chemists, physicists, psychologists, managers of the health, administrative, professional, technical, technical-health professions of the Health System of the Lazio Region who, despite not having a Complex Operative Unit, have one of the following requirements : 

a.executives in charge of management of simple or simple departmental operating units;

b.executives with at least 10 years of service.

  • Doctors, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists, biologists, chemists, physicists, psychologists, managers of the health, administrative, professional, technical, technical-health professions of the Health System of the Lazio Region with seniority of service of at least 5 years of management, at the date of April 21, 2020.
  • Executives with the role of Management of Complex Operating Units not belonging to the Health System of the Lazio Region.
  • Medical managers, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists, biologists, chemists, physicists, psychologists, managers of the health professions, administrative, professional, technical, technical-health professionals not belonging to the Health System of the Lazio Region.

Method of admission

The application for admission must be submitted no later than 23 pm on June 12, 2020 using the online procedure available at the internet address: https://pica.cineca.it/unicampus/corperf-1-2020/ and provides for the inclusion of:

1. personal data and data relating to qualifications;

2. the payment of an admission fee of € 60,00 by bank transfer to the University bank account:

Recognition of previous training periods

At the judgment of a special Evaluation Commission and, with the binding opinion of the Lazio Region, previous training periods already carried out by the candidate in the context of training courses - not organized pursuant to art. 7 of Presidential Decree 484/1997 and of the CSR Agreement of 10/07/2003 - concerning thematic areas and contents similar to those covered by this announcement.

The aforementioned periods must have been carried out as part of university post-graduate training courses.

These training activities must have been carried out within the 6 years preceding the academic year of establishment of the course in question (from the AY 2013-2014 to the AY 2018-2019).

Any recognition of the training period already completed may concern a part of the course, or its entirety in case of perfect overlapping of contents and methodologies.

Title awarded

At the end of the didactic activity, the participants will have to take an evaluation test which consists in the presentation and discussion of a final thesis before a Commission made up of: the Scientific Director, the Didactic Coordinator, at least one professor of the course, a regional official. Participants who pass the assessment test, who are in compliance with the limits of absences set out in this notice and with administrative obligations, will be issued:

  • The management training certificate in a single copy, by the Lazio Region, which is valid for seven years from the date of issue. In the event of several sessions of the same course being held, the certificate will be issued simultaneously to all candidates at the end of the last session.
  • The specialization qualification in Healthcare Management, by theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, with the recognition of 16 CFU. The credits may be recognized for any subsequent management training courses organized by the University itself.

Healthcare professionals who obtain the management training certificate referred to in this announcement are excluded from the obligation to obtain the ECM training credits referred to in art. 16 quater of Legislative Decree 502/92 and subsequent amendments in the year in which the training activity ends.

Fee and how to register

The enrollment fee for the Course is equal to € 2.200 (two thousand two hundred/00) to be paid in two instalments:

- st installment: at the time of registration (by 23/06/2020) equal to € 1.200;

- nd installment: by 30/11/2020 equal to € 1.000.

Payment of the st installment must be made only following confirmation of admission by the Post-Graduate Training Service. The scan of the bank transfer receipt must be sent by email to: [email protected] by 23/06/2020.

Failure to pay the first installment of the course by that date will be considered as a renouncement by the candidate to participate in the course and, therefore, suitable candidates will be called following the ranking.
