HYperthermal Planning of Echo ultRasound-guided Laser Ablation (HYPER-LAB): the final report of the fellow Emiliano Schena
In order to achieve the objectives of the "HYperthermal Planning of Echo ultRasound-guided Laser ABlation (HYPER-LAB)" project, the PI (Principal Investigator) spent a period of approximately 3 months, from 7 October 2014 to 27 December 2014, at City of Hope (1500 E. Duarte Road, Duarte, CA 91010-3000, USA). In particular, the PI collaborated with two research units: the first, directed by Prof Yuman Fong, is the Department of Surgery; the second, directed by Prof. Jacob Berlin, is the Department of Molecular Medicine. Both professors have among their main research interests the treatment of tumors using laser-induced hyperthermia.
