Rome, 7 July 2026 - Technological sovereignty today represents one of the main strategic challenges for the future of Italy and Europe. Governing data, digital infrastructure, and artificial intelligence systems means strengthening the competitiveness of the production system, ensuring national security, and supporting digital transformation through reliable, resilient, and controlled technologies. This is the underlying theme of the second edition of Secure Innovation Summit, promoted byUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and the Teleconsys, which brings together representatives of institutions, academia, research, and industry to discuss the challenges of cybersecurity and innovation.
The event is structured around four roundtables dedicated to Public Administration, Healthcare, Defense and Security, and Critical Infrastructure—strategic areas in which the control of digital technologies and data protection are crucial levers for the growth and resilience of the country's economic system. These roundtables will bring together representatives from institutions, healthcare, and industry, along with representatives from security, defense, and academia, with the aim of identifying shared strategies to combine innovation, technological autonomy, and the protection of national interests.
The Dean of the Departmental Faculty of Engineering will open the proceedingsUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, prof. Alessio Gizzi and the President and Founder of Teleconsys, Augustine Angeloni The inaugural speech is entrusted to Agostino Sperandeo, Head of the National Cybersecurity Strategy and Policy Division of the National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN), which outlines the framework of strategic priorities to strengthen the digital resilience of the country's system.

The first comparison, dedicated to AI, Digital Transformation, and Cybersecurity: The Three Pillars of Third-Millennium Public Administration, is moderated by Corrado Giustozzi , professor of the second level University Master's Degree in “Homeland Security” of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, and sees the participation of Victor Baiocco (INAIL), Lucia Fioravanti (National Strategic Hub), Alessandro Luzzi (Ministry of Education and Merit) and William Nonnis (Presidency of the Council of Ministers), with an intervention by Mirko Leanza, Chief Information Security Officer of Teleconsys.

"How to prevent and counter threats to the country and its production system", moderated by the Major General Sandro Sanasi, Commander of the Network Operations Command of the Defence General Staff, with the participation of the Major General Paul Aceto of the Carabinieri, of the Brigadier General Marco Tolla of the Guardia di Finanza and Giampaolo Zambonini of the Ministry of the Interior.
