Rome, 5 November 2025 – Businesses, universities, institutions, key stakeholders together to explore the emerging scenarios for human capital offered by Artificial Intelligence in a 360-degree manner: this is the aim of the meeting that took place today at the Auditorium of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, entitled “Future Skills: Human Capital and AI for Changing Work,” organized by the Human Capital Technical Group of Unindustria in collaboration with the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome.
According to Unioncamere data, over 60% of Italian companies anticipate a growing need for professionals trained in AI and digital technologies in the coming years, but report growing difficulty in recruiting them. The issue, therefore, is not whether to adopt AI, but rather what skills to employ. The event highlighted a point shared by businesses, teachers, and institutions in attendance: to bridge the gap between skills supply and demand, it is important to create a stable bridge between the manufacturing and education systems, capable of training professionals who can immediately enter the workforce.
"Artificial Intelligence – dichiara Alda Paola Baldi, Vice President of Unindustria with responsibility for Human Capital – can be an extraordinary lever for the competitiveness of our companies, but it becomes fully so only if we invest in human capital, which remains the engine of all innovation. Today, more than ever, we need a solid and fast-paced education ecosystem in which businesses, universities, and technical institutes (ITS) collaborate structurally to create targeted and constantly updated training programs to support this evolution and manage change responsibly.."
Continues Rector ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Prof. Rocco Papalia"Technological evolution requires a new alliance between universities and businesses.
