Rome, 7 July 2026 - L'Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma hosted on Saturday 4th July the STEM Olympiad Grand Final, the final event of the international competition dedicated to STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), which brought together on the Campus over 700 students, accompanied by 150 teachers and approximately 400 family members, From 54 Countries.
The Grand Final in Rome represented the final act of a competition which, in the 2025-2026 academic year, saw the participation of over 20.000 students from 184 countriesThrough an international online selection process, divided into three successive phases, the best students, from third grade of primary school to the final year of secondary school, gained access to the in-person final.
For an entire day, Rome's Campus Bio Medico University transformed into a meeting place for cultures, education systems, and young talents united by a passion for knowledge and innovation. In addition to math and science tests, the program included competitions dedicated to coding, artificial intelligence, and design challenges, with activities such as AI Prompt Engineering, CodeCombat, Codementum, and STEM workshops dedicated to building bridges, airplanes, and Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects, enhancing creativity, team spirit, and problem-solving skills.
