It was signed at the headquarters of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma the Framework Agreement on Collaboration between theAssociation of Italian Knights of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (ACISMOM), the Campus Bio-medico University of Rome Foundation, L 'Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma , Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation.

The agreement, which is renewable for three years, marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration between institutions that share common values ​​rooted in Christian tradition and the centrality of the person, with the aim of promoting excellence in clinical care, education, and scientific research.

The authorities of the Campus Bio-Medico and the representatives of ACISMOM took part in the meeting and the signing ceremony: the President of the Italian Association Lorenzo Borghese, the members of Association Council and Grand Prior of Naples and Sicily Fra' Nicolò Custoza de Cattani.

The agreement provides for the development of integrated care pathways in strategic clinical areas such as orthopedics, neuromotor rehabilitation, diabetology and endocrinology, oncology and medical genetics.Particular attention will be paid to scientific research on musculoskeletal diseases, neuroscience, neurodegenerative diseases, and oncology.

On the training front, the agreement will promote internships for students and specialists at the healthcare facilities of the Italian Association of the Order of Malta, including the San Giovanni Battista Hospital in Rome and the thirteen National Health Service-accredited clinics throughout the country, seven of which are in Lazio. Professional development activities and national and international university cooperation are also planned.

An innovative aspect of the agreement concerns the parties' willingness to promote collaborative projects for disaster relief and international cooperation projects, highlighting the prominent role of the Italian Association and the Order of Malta's Italian Relief Corps in this area.

Present at the signing ceremony were the following signatories: Alessandro Pernigo, President of the Rome Biomedical Campus University Foundation, Andrea Rossi, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Paolo Sormani, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico, and Edward Bellomo, Director General for Health Activities of the Italian Association of the Order of Malta.
