27 October 2021 - It came to XIV edition the II level Master in Homeland Security, starting in March 2022. A path with a constantly evolving program, in terms of faculty, topics covered and opportunities to get in touch with companies in the sector, from large critical infrastructures to cyber security, up to consultancy.

The master is mainly aimed at law enforcement agencies, security operators already employed in companies (public or private) and recent graduates. To tell about their academic experience, Alessandra, a recent graduate who decided to enroll in the Master a year ago:

“Passionate about security and prevention, I chose to participate in the Master's to combine studies in the legal field with issues related to intelligence, cyber security and risk management. Thanks to the course, I therefore had the opportunity to delve into a world that fascinated me but that I knew little about and to acquire useful skills in the job. The quality of the teaching, capable of combining theoretical aspects with practical cases, has provided me with a multi-disciplinary vision of all the areas involved in safety management, an issue which, as never before, has assumed such an extremely relevant value. The pandemic has in fact proved to be an accelerator of latent dynamics and phenomena in front of which public and private actors have found themselves to some extent unprepared, revealing global vulnerabilities. I particularly appreciated the preparation and availability of the teachers, top-level security professionals, who favored an exchange of experiences between participants in the Master and a pleasant and stimulating atmosphere. Definitely an experience of high cultural and professional quality that I would recommend to those who intend to specialize in this sector or supplement their training”.

Alessandra graduated in October 2021, with a training project concerning the risks associated with company travel and carried out an internship at Enel:

“At the end of the lessons, I did an internship at Enel, a leading company in the energy sector, studying in depth the issues of travel security and crisis management. My activity has focused on the assessment of risks related to business travel, the activation of specific security measures and support in the event of difficult or emergency situations. It was a highly educational and rewarding experience that allowed me to interface with a multinational reality and to put into practice what I learned during the months of study. For the future, I am ready to face new stimulating challenges that will serve to increase my professional background".
