The Campus Bio-Medico University opens the 26th Academic Year: Nuclear Medicine, Genetic Laboratory and DEA in the pipeline in 2020

Rome, November 28, 2018 - The Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma officially concluded the celebrations for its first quarter of a century, opening today the own 26th Academic Year. A well-attended ceremony, which was attended, among others, by the Councilor for Health and Social-Health Integration of the Lazio Region, Alessio D'Amato, the President of the CNR Massimo Inguscio and the president of An industry, Filippo Tortoriello.

From February 2019 work on for the DEA

Scholarships and special prizes for deserving students

During the inaugural ceremony they were 21 scholarships awarded and special prizes, provided by the University and three credit institutions - Intesa Sanpaolo, Foundation Cattolica Assicurazioni and Banca Popolare di Sondrio – within the scope of 'Adoption deserving student' program to as many students of the study programmes UCBM.

Strengthening on the front of university education was highlighted by the Opening Report of the Academic Year of Rector, Raffaele Calabrò, who recalled how, “in the field of training, the latest ANVUR Didactics indicators show a percentage of our graduates 'in progress' above 80%, where the national average is less than 50%, and a regularity of the course of studies significantly higher than the national averages”. The Course in Medicine and Surgery in English is starting

Both the President and the Rector also spoke of the start of the project 'Together in Care', which will be created in collaboration with the Alberto Sordi Foundation , Campus Bio-Medico SpA "to give value and dignity - has explained Barela to the frailty of the elderly”. The Inauguration of the Academic Year was also an opportunity to award the 'father' of Italian biorobotics, Paolo Dario and Degree Honorary in Biomedical Engineering masterful: it is the first recognition of its kind assigned byUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma in its 25 years of life, in full coherence with the identity of UCBM of synthesis of the most advanced multidisciplinary knowledge at the service of the human person.
