We will accept up to 16 interns per shift. The Practical Evaluation Internship is a fundamental part of the student's university education and represents the first approach to the profession. Carrying out practical activities allows students to acquire an increasing degree of autonomy with an important first approach to the world of work through direct contact with the patient. The students are also given the opportunity to practice on patients with cognitive behavioral disorders, who are given preferential treatment thanks to the Tobia Project. We are very familiar with the attention paid by theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma towards issues relating to disabilities, a sensitivity that we share and that, thanks to this protocol, we translate together into concrete facts", explains Roberto Morello, Director of the UOSD of Otorhinolaryngology and Oral Cavity Pathologies at the GB Grassi Hospital in Ostia and contact person for the Tobia Project of the ASL Roma 3.

"L 'Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma It is a rapidly expanding university center, just as its Polyclinic represents a leading healthcare institution for the capital, and especially for the southernmost area closest to our company's area of expertise. The recently signed agreement confirms our willingness to collaborate, which could be replicated in the future, with a university that is investing heavily in research, innovation, teaching, and healthcare," he adds. Francesca Milito, General Director of ASL Roma 3.

"We are particularly pleased to establish this agreement with the ASL Roma3, which follows the path initiated with the ASL Roma1, to give our dental students the opportunity to train through valuable educational experiences within the public healthcare facilities of Rome and Ostia. We believe that dentists should not only be trained using the most innovative technologies, such as those present at our University, but should also be trained from the outset to treat patients with empathy and, above all, with concrete competence and professionalism."chiara Andrea Rossi, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma - “The agreement between UCBM and ASL Roma3 is particularly relevant because it focuses on supporting the most vulnerable. In this sense, the involvement of dentistry in the "Tobia" project represents an important option for people with disabilities, one of the vulnerabilities that the Campus Bio-Medico, in its various branches, addresses on a daily basis.

"The training of students in the Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics degree program requires an integrated approach between theory and practice. For this reason, we are particularly pleased and grateful for this agreement with ASL Roma3, which will provide our students with a further concrete opportunity to undertake more internships and training placements within public healthcare facilities, contributing to an integrated education capable of combining technological innovation and humanized care. Our University's challenge, in fact, is to integrate young dentists into the workforce capable of meeting the needs of a rapidly changing profession, and the agreement with ASL Roma 3 represents an effective tool for providing advanced and distinctive knowledge and skills to serve patients, the local community, and society," concludes the Rector.Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, prof. Eugenio Guglielmelli

Each student will be assigned a tutor, a practical internship evaluation booklet, and a training and orientation internship booklet, which will list the tutors' names. At the beginning of each shift, the tutor on duty will sign the booklet, which will summarize the activities completed at the end of the day. The TPV coordinator, after consulting with the assigned tutors, is responsible for preparing the final report on the intern's activities.
