The Emergency Department will be equipped with 8 beds of short intensive observation (OBI) for patients with acute syndromes in need of treatment and observation, e 16 in Holding Area for those waiting for a bed for hospitalization, the Emergency Department spaces are organized according to the levels of severity and ensure maximum confidentiality. Overall, with the activation of the new DEA, the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital will be able to ensure a more articulated range of health responses and will increase from the current 300 beds to 350 beds.

The new emergency room of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital it will in fact be equipped with a parcheggio from 40 places with stalls reserved for people with disabilities and pregnant women. The helipad, suitable for day and night flights, is located a few meters from the entrance to the Dea.
