Health response for over 300 thousand citizens of Rome and Lazio

the brand new Level I Emergency and Acceptance Department (DEA). will expand the emergency network in the southwest quadrant of Rome, completing the assistance offer of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital and increasing its territorial roots.
The new emergency room, located in via Àlvaro del Portillo, inserts the Polyclinic in the Emergency-urgency network as a first level DEA and in time-dependent networks (Trauma, Stroke and Heart Attack and Cardiovascular Emergencies). The new DEA is at the heart of a potential pool of around 300 residents and is estimated to have 45 thousand accesses per year.
The work will be completed in 2019 e the activation of the emergency room is scheduled for the first months of 2020. The structure will be built with a investment of 10 million euros, mainly resulting from debt and fund raising activities of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma.

The Emergency Department will be equipped with 8 beds of short intensive observation (OBI) for patients with acute syndromes in need of treatment and observation, e 16 in Holding Area for those waiting for a bed for hospitalization, the Emergency Department spaces are organized according to the levels of severity and ensure maximum confidentiality. Overall, with the activation of the new DEA, the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital will be able to ensure a more articulated range of health responses and will increase from the current 300 beds to 350 beds.
Great attention will also be paid to accessibility. The new emergency room of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital it will in fact be equipped with a parcheggio from 40 places with stalls reserved for people with disabilities and pregnant women. The helipad, suitable for day and night flights, is located a few meters from the entrance to the Dea. Outside there is aequipped area for children while inside the waiting areas they will ensure privacy and comfort for the companions. Also expected 3 courses dedicated to the most fragile people: infectious diseases, pediatric box and area reserved for pink codes for victims of violence.
Il Goddess of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital represents a significant change for the health emergency system in Lazio, and in particular for the south-west quadrant of the capital.
