Demetrio attends the third year of Medicine and Surgery at our University
30 May 2022 - Beatrice and Demetrio Married, brothers of the Crotone Sailing Club, qualify to compete in the absolute sailing World Championship to be held on Lake Balaton, in Hungary, from 5 to 13 August 2022. The path that led them to detach the pass for the national team has passed through the regattas of Lerici, Naples and Mandello del Lario, in which the young sailors from Crotone have always shone with excellent partial positions.
The very young brothers led the exciting 2021-2022 sailing season by interweaving it with school commitments and bridging the gap. "We manage to qualify for the world championships by reconciling studies and distance, putting all the will and passion that we hold dear into it" said Demetrio, 20 years old in June. Today he lives in Rome and attends the third year of Medicine and Surgery UCBM, while Beatrice lives in Crotone, where she attends the Filolao Scientific High School.
Will and passion for the sea are never missing from the Married. Demetrius, for his part, 6th at the 2015 optimist world championship, twice European champion and bronze at the 420m world championships in 2017, Over which vice world champion in 2019, has made it a must in life, as a sailor and as the author of the book "Alchemie tra vento e mare", in which he recounts his sailing experiences around the world.
