Biography
Since 2022 he has directed the Policy and Bioeconomy Research Center of the Council for Research in Agriculture and Agrarian Economics (CREA), the center that analyzes the economic and social phenomena of the national and international agri-food system, with attention to environmental issues and territorial development. You have always been involved in the definition, monitoring and evaluation of development policies in the agri-food field, with particular attention to territorial and supply chain dynamics. The themes were explored in depth through national and international research projects, for which she assumed the role of manager.
She has published monographs and articles on the agri-food system and is called as an expert on international tables.
He holds a PhD in "Institutions, Environment and Policies for Economic Development".
She was Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Agricultural, Food, Forestry and Tourism Policies in the Conte I Government, with delegations relating to research, innovation, technological transfer and training in the agri-food field as well as issues on specific production sectors and initiatives in rural areas and internal.
Curriculum Vitae
From 2022 – present Director of the Center for Research Policies and Bioeconomy. The Research Center is divided into 22 locations in Italy, with a staff of over 300 employees, with the management of over 20 million of annual budget for scientific and institutional research.
2018 – 2019 Undersecretary of State in the Conte Government 1. The matters of delegation concerned research, innovation, technology transfer and training in the agri-food sector. Support for specific production chains (fruit and vegetables, olives, cereals and minor chains), the issue of work in agriculture and the tools for strengthening rural development, with particular attention to internal areas.
2014 - 2018 - Assigned to the Cabinet of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, at the Technical Secretariat of the Deputy Minister, with the coordination of activities related to technical-scientific and legislative support aimed at developing and monitoring policies regarding the agri-food sector. She curated international initiatives during Expo 2015 and the G7.
2009 –2014 - Head of Service 2 "Macroeconomic and economic research", National Institute of Agricultural Economics.
2006 - 2009 - Head of Service 3 "Structural, territorial research and agricultural development services" of INEA.
2006 – Present Research Director of INEA. She has been responsible for over 20 scientific and institutional research projects. The projects have benefited from EU and national funding. As project manager, she has taken care of the presentation, scientific and administrative management, definition and coordination of work groups, definition and compliance with the program and timetable, scientific and financial monitoring up to the presentation of results and final reporting to the client. She is called to be part of international research groups for programming, evaluation and research, in particular on the issues of territorial development at European level. 2005 –2007 - Member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Institute of Social Medicine (IIMS), a public research body supervised by the Ministries of Welfare and Health.
