Project Objectives |
Healthcare 5.0 paradigm is configured as a multi-level transformation that implies a cultural, scientific, regulatory, and organizational change capable of putting the person and his well-being at the center. It is shaped by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), AI-based devices, medical robotics, and bio-medical applications and frames the need for a new approach in health management, such as JCI (Joint Commission International). The new model of healthcare 5.0 is focused on the shift from a paradigm based on technology development to a rethinking of technology for the human being, emphasizing the active and participatory role of the subject in design and assessment. For this reason, it is urgent to consider the theoretical, applicative, social, and ethical aspects of this new form of paradigm in the post-pandemic scenario. What is the role of healthcare 5.0 in the healthcare challenges of the coming years, such as the management of chronic diseases or the management of degenerative diseases? Does the 5.0 paradigm bring a more sustainable paradigm in healthcare? How to read and treat the data coming from the smart devices associated with patients? Can the concept of health and disease change according to the new model of healthcare? How does physical-digital health change the doctor-patient relationship?
a) Healthcare 5.0 and Technology: Blockchain, IoT, Augmented and Mixed Reality, Machine Learning, and AI b) Trustworthy (tech-)care: a human-centric approach c) Healthcare 5.0 and Technological Assessment: economic, social, and ethical implications |
