He obtained a PhD in biochemical and technological sciences applied to food and nutrition at theUniversità Campus Bio-medico di Roma (XXVII cycle year 2012) with discussion of the thesis on 27 April 2015, entitled "Functional alterations of the smooth muscles of the human colon: effect of the modulation of the intestinal microbiota".

She received a Research Grant from 01/02/2016 to 31/01/2017 at the Campus Biomedico University of Rome for carrying out a research project entitled "Use of gut on chip multicellular technology in the prevention of drug toxicity pro-oxidant substances. An integrated, experimental and mathematical modeling approach”.

Born in Rome on 12 December 1967, she is married and has three children.

Even before obtaining the L.D. degreeingue and Foreign Literatures at LUMSSA in 1991, he collaborated with the Italian school for foreigners TINA2 snc as an Italian teacher.

Entered the Bio-Medical Campus as a professor of Inginjured and Inglese Scientifico in 1994, he taught degree courses in Medicine and Surgery and Nursing, taking over the coordination and expanding the training offer already after the first 5 years. Luca Borghi was born in Bologna on 18 July 1962.

He graduated in Philosophy of Science in 1987 at the Catholic University of Milan with a thesis on the body-mind problem.

He is Associate Professor of History of Medicine at the Departmental Faculty of Medicine and Surgery ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, where he directs the Research Unit in History of Science and Technology. He also teaches "History of science and technology" at the departmental faculty of Ingengineering of the same University.

He has promoted and is Main administrator of "Himetop - The History of Medicine Topographical Database" (, an international web 2.0 project for the identification and enhancement of the material traces left by the history of medicine and related disciplines.
