Offering global training in medicine and health professions by focusing on greater internationalization of degree courses. This is the path chosen by theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma to enrich the offer of international experiences to students and create aware professionals in a global world driven by the complexity of phenomena such as pandemics, migrations, digitalization.

This is how theInternational Academic Advisory Board of the Departmental Faculty of Medicine and Surgery UCBM met for the first time on September 23, 2024 with a large participation of students and teachers, demonstrating the interest of the entire Faculty in the project.

"Students need a training project that takes them out of the strictly national dimension of the profession and offers them global level training. – explained the coordinator of the Advisory Board, Professor Maurizio Trevisan - Globalization, increased migration flows, pandemics, the growing mobility of healthcare professionals, and the enormous impact that global technological progress has on all aspects of medicine, make it urgent to open university education to an international perspective. Only in this way will our students be able to work as professionals in global medicine".

The International Academic Advisory Board of the Departmental Faculty of Medicine and Surgery UCBM will work with Faculty leadership and meet periodically with the entire student and faculty community to promote innovation and globalization of medical education and research, strengthening the existing training project. In addition to periodic meetings with professors and students of the University, the Board members will contribute to developing large-scale exchange programs of teachers and students and to identify possible collaborations in research.
