Over 1.400 high school students from Rome and Lazio participated on October 22nd at the Rome Convention Center La Nuvola, HUMAN | +Ideas, people, and innovations for the professions of the future, the initiative of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma created in collaboration with Skuola.net.
An interactive experience to introduce young people to the transformations that are transforming the world and professions, stimulating questions, discussion, and new perspectives. HUMAN proposed a different approach to orientation: not simply a presentation of degree programs, but an opportunity to explore the challenges of the present and reflect on one's aspirations.
The program developed around four thematic areas: health, technology and artificial intelligence, food and sustainability, work and identity. Through dissemination sessions, surveys, and a Live Challenge, students were directly involved, addressing issues regarding the future of care, technological evolution, and the skills required by the world of work.
The morning ended with the construction of a Future Profile, a reflection tool to help participants recognize interests, attitudes and aspirations and relate them to professional opportunities.
HUMAN expresses the model of integral formation of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, which combines scientific preparation, a multidisciplinary approach, and individual attention, with the aim of supporting young people not only in the development of skills but also in the maturation of informed choices.
"HUMAN was born from the desire to offer young people an experience that goes beyond the traditional presentation of university courses", explains the Rector UCBM, prof. Rocco Papalia. We live in a constantly evolving world, in which artificial intelligence, robotics, medical and engineering advances, as well as innovations in nutrition and sustainability, are transforming professions and our way of life. These changes open up extraordinary possibilities, but they also raise questions that require judgment and a sense of responsibility.
With this event, we want to offer young people an experience that empowers them, stimulates critical thinking, and helps them question the future they want to build. The challenge is to help them become professionals capable not only of knowing and using increasingly advanced tools, but also of understanding their potential and limitations, collaborating with others, and putting their skills to work to meet the real needs of individuals and society. For this reason, people must remain at the center, and technology must always be a means, not an end., concludes the Rector.
He also drew attention to the importance of the alliance between school and university in supporting young people in their educational choices. Anna Paola Sabatini, Director General of the Regional School Office for Lazio. "Orienting does not mean indicating a path already traced, but helping each student to recognize his own. With HUMAN by Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma We share a clear choice: to start with young people and guide them through new training and career opportunities, without ever losing sight of the centrality of the individual. Schools and universities must join forces on this: to transform the vision of the future into a conscious and responsible life plan.
